Mystical Explorations (self-initiated)

In my most recent Loveletter one of my readers asked me to share some of a project I’d mentioned — a Tarot deck I’d started working on ages ago, as a self-initiated project to use creativity to deepen my own intuition. The project was ambitious and never completed (there are 78 cards in a deck!!) — but it set me on all sorts of new paths and really pushed me to start exploring figures, which I’d always been nervous about. I hadn’t looked at the creative explorations in a while but MAN — it was sooo nice to take a look and see that I’m still digging what I created and I even spent a few evenings this month exploring them a bit further, recolouring, and pondering how this art could make it into my next collection. So a big warm thanks to Kathy for her push to share! These are quite rough — all created on my ipad in Adobe Draw and haven’t been refined — but I’m embracing the imperfection by sharing them in their ‘whatever state’, here.

'Time of joy' with Miquelrius

I’m so pleased to share my second collaboration with Spanish brand Miquelrius! They created a little range of products entitled ‘Time of Joy’ and what an honour it is when people associate my work and my esthetic with that of joy, because that really feels like what I’m trying to do. The range includes a lovely drawing pad, a 3-pack of notebooks, a pouch, pencil case and cute coin purse, and even some daisy-loving pens! Pure delight. These are juuuust making their way to market but I was pleasantly surprised to see my other Miquelrius products available at El Corte Ingles (a high end department store, thank you very much) so maybe these will follow suit. If we track them down, we’ll update this blog post with a link. For now, enjoy some eye candy! By the way, have you signed up for my Loveletter yet? It’s my new newsletter and each month I’m doing a giveaway of something from my stash. So hint hint, there might be something from this range in one of the future issues. Thanks for reading!

Sellers Publishing 2023 Calendars

Another 2023 Calendar coming at you! My mum always asks if I have any calendars out for the upcoming year and for the past few years the answer has been no — so I’m pleased to give her the choice of two this year. This one from Sellers Publishing is widely available — if you do a quick google search you’ll likely find one in your region. It incorporates lots of my favourite patterns in beautiful borders, but the star of the show is the nice paper stock with lots of space for you to fill in the good stuff you have planned for the year ahead. You can also check out my 2023 Calendars for Amber Lotus — take your pick!
