totes for baraza yoga

During lockdown, my yoga studio in Lisbon kept me centred with a daily yoga streams. As a little token of appreciation, I designed these totes for them. If you’d like to pick one up, the best way is to message the lovely ladies at Baraza by direct message on Instagram.

introducing instagram filters

It’s good to shake things up! I recently delved into the world of instagram filters with the help of my intern Marina, and introduced a few fun options you can use for pics or videos! We released three filters — they’re interactive so you can use them with video on instagram, and for static pictures too. To use them, go to the Stories area of Instagram and you’ll have a series of circles along the bottom with options for adding filters and effects to your images. Scroll all the way over to the right, and you’ll see an option to search — just search for my name (Elizabeth Olwen) and you’ll find our three magic options — Cosmic Rainbows, Crazy Daisies or Flower Power! I’d love if you tagged me in the photos so I can see what fun you got up to with them!

SUMMER INTERNSHIP + MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

UPDATE: APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED. If you have been selected for an interview, you will have received an email by now. If you didn’t, thank you so much for applying and for your interest. I’m sorry if I can’t reply to each one of you, I got a ton of applications. All the best to you!

I’m looking for a Design Assistant/intern! This will be a 3-month paid Internship + Mentorship program (done virtually / online). With all this pandemic-related economic uncertainty, I thought now might be a good time to reach out and offer this program to someone who is looking to make this time count towards building a rewarding future for themselves in pattern design and art licensing. If you have the time and space to invest in building your business, have a passion for pattern and the desire to carve your own path in the licensing world, I’d love to hear from you! Read below.

There are many aspects to running a licensing business… Tasks may or may not include:

  • Online marketing (blog posts, newsletters, social)

  • Creative production work, reformatting, prepping and uploading artwork for clients

  • Research and development

  • Administrative tasks

  • Copyright management

  • Portfolio management

  • Product photography

These are all tasks that I have done myself and are a practical part of running your own business. So if you hope to have your own licensing business, and think this would be a valuable learning experience that you’d approach with enthusiasm, I’d love to hear from you! To apply, please send me an email with your resumé by Thursday May 28th at 11.59PM EST.

I will let you know if you’ve been selected for an interview. I’ll be doing interviews in early June and we’d ideally start working together later in the month! Thanks to all for your interest, and wishing you so much warmth. Be well!
